Recent Brand + Website launch for Kate DeAraugo

We worked with Kate DeAraugo—a singer, speaker, podcast host, mental health advocate, and mum—to reimagine her personal brand and rebuild her digital ecosystem from the ground up.

(Note: Particularly with public personas who don’t have ownership over where and how their identity is featured, there is nothing more important for them (or anyone) than having ownership of what they can control online and what message they choose to send and share with the public).

What started as a rebrand quickly evolved into a purpose-driven transformation—one that allowed Kate to reclaim her story and step confidently into her next chapter.

From the outset, this was more than just a design brief. It was a trust-driven collaboration, grounded in deep listening and respect. Our first priority was to understand Kate’s journey—public and personal—and ensure every touchpoint of her brand was in full alignment with her truth, her values, and her audience.

We took the time to build the foundation right.

Before designing a single visual, our team worked closely with Kate to map her brand direction, clarify her goals, and identify the platforms and formats that would support her re-entry into the public eye. We knew this project needed to be both bold and sensitive—balancing her long-standing music career with her new role as a storyteller, truth-teller, and advocate for mental health and recovery.

Here’s what we created together:

  • A new brand identity that merges rawness and resilience with warmth and professionalism. It’s strong, stripped-back, and unmistakably Kate.

  • A custom Squarespace website that serves as a digital home for her story—bringing together her podcast, speaking work, music, brand collaborations, and booking enquiries in one seamless, elegant experience.

  • Strategic content creation days to capture photo and video assets that reflect her current voice and presence—real, raw, and relatable.

  • A complete social media refresh, including profile optimisation, cover designs, highlight updates, reels strategy, and curated visual storytelling across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.

  • A comprehensive marketing plan to relaunch Kate’s brand, create long-term growth pathways, and guide the rollout of speaking opportunities, partnerships, and future content series.

  • Ongoing reel scripting and video content planning to help Kate build trust and consistency with her audience in her own authentic way.

But one of the most powerful elements of this project was the creation of the ‘Resources’ page—a curated hub of 24/7 crisis helplines, support organisations, and educational tools.

As Kate’s platform grew, so did her impact.

Through vulnerable storytelling and honest conversations on her podcast Why Do I Feel This Way?, Kate began receiving countless messages from people who saw themselves in her journey. It became clear: this was more than a comeback. She had become a role model—particularly for people navigating addiction recovery, mental health challenges, and family pressures.

So we made sure her website wasn’t just a brand—it was a bridge.

The Resources page was built to gently guide visitors toward help, hope, and support—because Kate knows what it feels like to be on the edge and unsure where to turn. We included national helplines, targeted support services, and community organisations for topics like addiction, eating disorders, mental health, family violence and more.

“Kate’s mission is simple: to be the person she needed when she was struggling. Whether she’s on stage, on the mic, or on your feed—she’s showing up, telling the truth, and using her story to give others hope.”

At The KH Studio, we’re proud to be part of this chapter in Kate’s evolution. This project wasn’t just about a website—it was about honouring a life, a voice, and a message that’s changing lives.
